Lipolysis
Targeted Fat
Reduction through Mesotherapy aloneLipoLite®
is a new non-invasive technique that delivers liposuction-like body
contour enhancements with no surgery, no recovery time and very few
risks!
Liposuction is the most commonly performed cosmetic
procedure in the United States. It is also the most common cosmetic
surgery procedure leading to complications. With LipoLite®,
we finally have a non-surgical program for patients who suffer with
local areas of excess fat, cellulite and skin laxity.
It was developed by world renowned plastic surgeon,
Steven Muhlholland, MD. This non-surgical liposuction and cellulite
program has emerged as one of the most important non-invasive
developments of the last 15 years. News Video -

Lipolite - A
combination treatment for faster and better results
The method of greatest fat reduction used both Mesotherapy injections
combined with Velasmooth often referred to as LipoLite. Velasmooth
uses mechanical suction, radio frequency and heat to assist the body
in releasing localized fat. Once this action has begun, the injection
of the Mesotherapy solution begins acting more quickly. The
combination of the two treatments increase the efficiency of both.
The primary
medication used for the mesotherapy injections is Phosphatidylcholine
(PTC), a natural soy-derived product that is one of the components
used in our LipoLite program. This product has been used safely in
thousands of patients throughout the U.S., South America, and Europe.
LipoLite® is not a
weight reduction program – it simply reduces the body fat by
liquefying the fat inside the cells so it is removed by normal body
processes. In surgical liposuction the fat cells are removed. With
LipoLite or Lipolysis, the cells remain but are reduced in size by
decreasing individual cell volume.
The LipoLite® program coordinates a 16
treatment, 8 week program combining the revolutionary
VelaSMOOTH® technology with a safe,
non-invasive procedure using microinjections to specific treatment
zones of the body
Unlike surgery, Mesotherapy is a simple procedure consisting of
multiple injections made with a very find needle in the area of
treatment. It requires no post-operative recovery time, no heavy
bandages or girdles, and no anesthesia is necessary. While many
surgical procedures require one to two weeks of recovery, patients
undergoing Mesotherapy have no interruptions to their daily life,
while obtaining a definitive improvement to body contour.

Lipolysis
Mesotherapy without the implementation of Velasmooth is referred to as
Lipolysis. Lipolysis is the breakdown of fat stored within the fat cells.

Areas of Effectiveness
As a Pre and Post Liposuction Treatment
Mesotherapy is also effective prior to surgical liposuction for skin
retraction, reducing the possible need for escess skin removal
following liposuction. Post-lipo deformities are common. Mesotherapy
Lipolysis corrects these lumps and bulges and the "dog ears" left
after tummy tucks.

Lipolysis Only
Lipolysis Mesotherapy treatments take about 15 to 20 minutes. In most
areas you will need several treatments. For facial areas, usually one
treatment will be performed as there is noticeable swelling that takes
about one week to resolve.
Normally you will see final results approximately 6 months following
your final treatment.
Mesotherapy can
be performed alone in a treatment known as Lipolysis or in
combination with Velasmooth in the LipoLite program.
Mesotherapy Experience
The injections themselves sting very little because very tiny needles are used. But then the medication burns like fire ants under the skin for 20 minutes. There is typically some itching involved as well when the medication begins dissolving the fat within the cells.
All medicines used are FDA-approved. However, in combination, medicines for Mesotherapy are used for off-label purposes. A recent illustration of this distinction is Botox. Although Botox was FDA approved for controlling muscle spasms, the medical community embraced it for its cosmetic properties of controlling wrinkles. For many years, plastic surgeons and dermatologists used Botox for off-label purposes.
Mesotherapy is currently in FDA clinical trials.
