Thermage's Body Shape procedure is a non-invasive procedure that can help tighten, firm and shape the body with just one treatment, without surgery or injections and little to no downtime. Fight crepey skin, flabby skin and cellulite all in a single session.

Thermage Body Thermatips were designed for use on patients who are not significantly overweight but want to do more than just tighten and smooth their bodies. The ThermaTip DC™ (Deep Contouring) was the first body tip developed, then was followed by the Cellulite Thermatip CL. The latest edition to the Thermatip family is the new large BodyTip 16.0 which has replaced both the DC and CL Tips.

The Thermage Body Tip 16.0 employs Comfort Pulse Technology, a new energy delivery method designed to improve patient comfort while maximizing results. The 16.0 handpiece enables this innovative technology to deliver the energy with short, rapid pulses at varying energy levels over the duration of the REP, which provides deep heating of the tissue at a therapeutic level that patients find easily tolerable. The Body Shape procedure is ideal for men and women who are not significantly overweight and are looking to help firm sagging skin and reduce unwanted bulges that dieting and exercise alone cannot seem to change.

Results vary from subtle to dramatic. Generally, some improvement is immediately visible and continues for up to six months. Results are long lasting depending on your skin condition and the aging process

 

How does the Thermage procedure work?

The procedure works by heating deep collagen fibers in the skin and underlying tissue, while protecting the skin's surface with a cooling spray. The treatment is performed with the ThermaCool™ device. A ThermaTip, attached to a handheld device, briefly touches the skin, delivering the non-invasive RF energy deep beneath the skin. This deep uniform heating action causes the deep structures in the skin and underlying tissue to immediately tighten. Over time, new and remodeled collagen is produced to further tighten skin and renew facial contours.

How long does the Thermage procedure take?

The Thermage procedure is a completely non-invasive, safe treatment that is performed only in a doctor's office. Depending on the size of the area(s) to be treated, the procedure may take as little as 20 minutes or up to two hours.

How many treatments will I need?

Unlike many laser procedures requiring four or more sessions, a single Thermage treatment produces results in the majority of patients. Dr. Pilest or our Thermage RN Laura will determine the course of treatment that is right for you, based on your needs and goals.

When will I see results?

Immediate results are visible, and improve over time. Measurable tightening and contouring improvements appear gradually over a two to six month time period following a single treatment session.
